Esprit de famille
L’attention et la protection prennent particulièrement sens avec ce couple de manchots entourant leur petit.

 

Tous les ans, 25 000 manchots empereurs se réunissent et forment la colonie de Halley dans l’Antarctique, au sud de l’Argentine. Pour se reproduire et couver leurs œufs, ils s’installent sur une banquise.

Depuis trois ans, cette étape de la reproduction de l’espèce est en danger. La glace sur laquelle ils étaient installés a cédé à cause de températures élevées et d’une météo orageuse qui a fragilisé la banquise.

Résultat : presque tous les petits ont péri…
